Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Deadlift (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), including those we make available at deadliftapp.com. By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and profile. Information you provide when creating or managing an account, such as name, email address, phone number, organization affiliation, and role (for example, coach or client).
  • Fitness and business data. Information you or your organization enters in the Services, such as workouts, class schedules, bookings, attendance, waivers, billing references, and communications needed to run your gym or coaching operations.
  • Payment information. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; we may receive limited payment status or transaction references from the processor.
  • Google Calendar (optional). If a coach chooses to connect Google Calendar, we access and use Google user data only as described in Google’s API Services User Data Policy and this policy. That may include creating or updating calendar events associated with bookings and storing OAuth tokens and related metadata needed to perform sync on your behalf.
  • Technical data. Information such as IP address, device or browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate and secure the Services.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Authenticate users, enforce access controls for organizations and roles, and protect account security.
  • Process transactions and communicate with you about your account or the Services.
  • If you enable Google Calendar sync, read and write calendar data only as needed to reflect your bookings or scheduling choices in your connected calendar, and to maintain reliable synchronization.
  • Monitor reliability and diagnose issues, including with the help of error reporting tools.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms and policies.

3. Google user data / limited use (Calendar)

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • We access Google Calendar data only for features you activate (optional coach calendar sync), not for unrelated advertising or resale.
  • We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for serving personalized ads from Google user data.
  • Human access to Google user data is limited to providing and improving user-facing features, complying with law, security, and support with your consent, as permitted by the Limited Use policy.

4. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the Services, such as:

  • Hosting, database, and authentication providers (for example, Supabase).
  • Payment processors (for example, Stripe).
  • Error monitoring and diagnostics (for example, Sentry).
  • Google, when you connect Google Calendar, solely to perform sync.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice as required by law.

5. Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the Services, and as required by law or legitimate business needs (such as accounting or dispute resolution). If you disconnect Google Calendar or delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated data in line with our technical capabilities and legal obligations.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may disconnect optional integrations (such as Google Calendar) in the product where that feature is offered. To exercise other rights, contact us using the email below.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. International users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the “Effective” date. Material changes may require additional notice as required by law.
